EVOX IMAGES® employees proudly joined thousands of men and women at the Revlon Run/Walk for Women earlier this month in Los Angeles.
Before the 5K began, participants were met with a warm welcome and words of encouragement from Halle Barry, the Revlon Brand Ambassador, Mario Lopez and Matthew Morrison from the popular television series, Glee.
The official colors of the walk were red and white, so Team EVOX participants wore red ribbons - er, creatively - to honor the cure.
On a serious note, the most significant moment for the team was reading messages emblazoned on the shirts of Cancer survivors. Messages like “Two Time Cancer Survivor” and “Cancer Free for 12 Weeks” kept the team moving toward the finish line all morning.
When they did cross the finish line, there was a collective feeling of inspiration and satisfaction. They were part of something bigger then themselves, and they helped make a difference.
EVOX IMAGES® is proud to support the EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women and looks forward to the next event.
If you’d like to participate, raise awareness or donate funds in the fight against women's cancers in our lifetimes, please visit the Revlon Run/Walk website.

Did you know?
On May 17, 2005, Toyota Motor Company announced plans to build and produce a gasoline-electric hybrid version of its best-selling Camry sedan. This was Toyota's first hybrid model manufactured in the United States.
Plans to develop a hybrid Camry brought the total number of Toyota-made hybrid models to four, including the Toyota Prius; the Lexus RX 400h, a midsize sport utility vehicle (SUV) released in April 2005; and a second SUV, the Toyota Highlander, released that June.

Today, there are about 30 (and growing) production hybrid models from which to choose - and they range from family sedans to high-performance cars. All of the major car manufacturers are now producing hybrids or have announced concept hybrid cars will go into production.
Fun fact:
The word "Camry" is a phonetic transcription of the Japanese word for "crown." It seems fitting for the popular Toyota model; by the late 1980s and early 1990s, the success of the Camry allowed Toyota (and Honda) to seize control of the midsize sedan market in the United States.

On this date in 1983 the Pentagon awarded a production contract worth more than $1 billion to AM General Corporation to develop 55,000 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWV) for the American military.
The Humvee, as it came to be known, was designed to transport troops and large cargo. The vehicle entered the spotlight in 1989, when they were used by the military during Panama, and later, the Persian Gulf War in the early 1990s.
In 1992, a civilian version of the Humvee, known as the Hummer, became available for sale to the public when General Motors purchased the rights from AM General to market and distribute it. In 2002 the Hummer H2 debuted. Two years later the H3 -the first to be built by GM - was released. Check out our car stock photos and videos of the Hummer.

In our recent LinkedIn poll, we asked “When shopping for a new car online, how useful is it to have 360 degree views of the car?”
75% of respondents said “Highly Useful”
“This has become a critical element of the process. The ability to see how a car looks from all angles is essential. High-res will become increasingly important too - shoppers will want to zoom in on the design details that make a car stand out from the crowd.”

The new face of Lexus is the 2013 GS 350.
The all-new platform is highlighted by a new design feature at the nose of the car that Lexus calls its spindle grille. The V-6 engine produces 306 horsepower and zero-to-60 in 5.7 seconds.
The newly developed GS interior is built around technology, the centerpiece of which is a 12.3-inch high-resolution split-screen multimedia display. The new Lexus Enform system provides a text-to-speech feature that reads your incoming emails to you and allows you to respond with predetermined answers like "I'm running late" or "See you in five minutes", etc.
