Huntington Beach Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram was the #1 Jeep dealership in California in 2011. In 2012 they are #1 for both Jeep and Chrysler models. The dealership, family owned and operated since 1966, is an Internet driven business that has seen its numbers continue to climb year after year.
“For the online sales process to be successful, you have to have strong interactive imagery. We offer interior 360-degree panoramas and exterior 360-degree spins for all our new Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles,” said Kelsey Rae, Internet and Marketing Director.
“Interactive imagery is visually powerful. It gives our online customers mental ownership of the vehicle,” said Rae. “360’s allow them to visualize themselves in the vehicle, behind the wheel. That is so important.”

Norm Reeves Honda Superstore in Cerritos, CA. has been named the No. 1 volume Honda dealer in the U.S. by American Honda Motor Co. Inc. The Los Angeles dealership sold more Honda cars, trucks and SUV’s in 2011 than any other dealership in the country.
Greg Iverson, Internet Director at Norm Reeves, knows that his team’s approach to the online sales business plays an important part in that success. And strong imagery is central to that approach.
“Imagery is half the game. It sells cars for you,” stated Iverson. “You have to visually connect with the online consumer. People are visual. They want to see the whole car. Providing 360-degree exterior spins and interior panoramas allow them to do so virtually.”
“People believe what they see. We can only tell them so much. They want to see the images from inside and outside the car,” said Iverson. “Having a strong set of high quality studio photos that compliment your dealership or manufacturer-provided shots is tremendously valuable.”

The 2013 Nissan GT-R made the rounds here at Evox last week. It is every bit the “Supercar” it is advertised as. A strong addition to the Evox Images Library.
The numbers speak for themselves:
Twin-turbo V6 engine that produces 545 horsepower and 463 pound-feet of torque and an astonishing 0-60 mph in 2.7 seconds.

Heyward Allen Toyota offers their online consumers a wide-range of imagery of all inventory available at their dealership. Visitors can view a set of high quality stock photos, editorial videos and interactive 360-degree exterior spins and 360-degree interior panoramas of the vehicle they are interested in.
Eli Reeves, the Internet Sales Manager at the dealership, has seen the positive effect of this high quality imagery on his numbers across the board. “We see a rise in time spent on the site, the level of interaction and in our conversion rates,” he said.

Reeves and his team at Heyward Allen maximize the power of 360’s, editorial video and stock image sets by incorporating them into products like their Virtual Test Drive Videos.
“High quality images and interactive videos sell cars because they build consumer confidence. They make or break a sale,” said Reeves. “If pictures are worth a thousand words, videos are worth a million.”

We welcomed a new generation of electric vehicle into the Evox Studios this week.
The 2013 Mitsubishi i is 100% electric and will never burn a drop of gasoline or emit one single molecule of exhaust gas from its tailpipe. The i doesn't even have a tailpipe!
It has an EPA-leading 112 MPGe rating. That means that the energy present in one gallon of gasoline (if you converted that gallon into electricity) can power the i for 112 miles.
And get this . . . the regenerative brakes convert the energy from deceleration into electricity and recharge the battery as you drive.

The i is the first M.Y. 2013 in our Automotive Image Library. And while you're there, be sure to check out the other 5843 vehicles we have in our library, the most complete and powerful in the industry.

At Melloy Nissan, there is little question about the role high-quality imagery plays in their online automotive sales process.
“We strongly believe in the power of high-quality photos and video. That is the primary way we distinguish ourselves from other dealerships,” says Gus Carrillo, Marketing Director at Melloy.
Carrillo and his team use 50-60 studio images, walk-around video and interior and exterior 360-degree interactive video for all new vehicle inventory on their site.
“You have to have this capability for your online customers. It’s about keeping visitors on our site. That is the big thing high-quality imagery does for us,” said Carrillo. “The most effective online advertising effort by our dealership is our online imagery.”

“The advantage of sharing high-quality video is the increase in conversion rates we have seen. With good images you are selling the appointment. Then you are selling the car. There is no need for the 30-minute conversation. You are effectively selling the customer through the imagery,” said Carrillo.

The 2013’s Are Here!
The M.Y. 2013 Subaru BRZ has been added to the Evox Images Library. It is one of the most highly anticipated 2013 sport coupes in the US, not due to hit dealerships until early March.
The BRZ is special. A joint venture between Subaru and Toyota, it is the first rear-wheel-drive vehicle produced by Subaru since the 1950's. This Subaru owns one of the lowest centers of gravity of any car in the world and is also among the lightest two-door coupes on the market.

Automotive consumers are looking for a visually rich and interactive online shopping experience. A basic photo of a vehicle alone is not likely to influence the consumers buying decisions in your favor.
360-degree spin imagery allows consumers to feel more comfortable and satisfied with their online car buying experience, which will lead to increased engagement and conversions for your business.
Snap36.com shares the 10 ways 360-degree spin photography will do just that:
1. High-quality images, with zoom and spin, emulate the “touch and feel” of the in-store experience
2. Customers can look closer and see more detail, therefore feel more confident about their purchase
3. Allows customers to feel ownership over the shopping experience
4. Increases customer’s personal connection and attachment to the product
5. Draws consumers in
6. Boosts conversion rates
7. Leads to more time spent on your site, therefor increasing chance of conversion
8. Increases repeat visits
9. Compels word-of-mouth advertising with positive interaction
10. Reduces buyers remorse with a more educated purchase decision

When it comes to auto dealership websites, the end goal is very clear: convert consumers from page visits to purchases.
So the question naturally becomes, what are the most important elements of your vehicle pages that will most effectively turn browsers into buyers?
Adobe Scene7 and The E-Tailing Group recently released a comprehensive study titled “Perfecting The Product Page: Guidelines For Decision-Making”.
One of the key research findings from a survey of 200 top online retailers in that study pointed to the element of interactive imagery as one of the first answers to that question.
The 200 respondents surveyed named three different imagery-related elements in the Top-5 overall ranking of most valuable product page features, based on perceived ROI.
86% Alternate views of the product 81% Zoom view of the product 75% Video of the product
Now that’s a powerful statement!
It’s clear, powerful interactive imagery is one of the most effective ingredients you can utilize on your buisness website to start paving the way to higher conversion rates and increased sales at your dealership.
